2700610 - ME11 is not a Valid Value for This Field. Enter a Valid Value

You Cannot Preview Production Confirmation. You are trying to preview Production Confirmation, and when you click the Preview button, the system triggers the following error messages:

- ME11 is not a valid value for this field. Enter a valid value.
- Action failed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Production Control Work center.
2. Go to the Monitoring view.
3. Find and select Production Lot ID ABC (ABC represents the Production Lot ID).
4. Click the Edit button.
5. Go to the Confirmations tab.
6. Open the Confirmation ID XYZ (XYZ represents the Production Confirmation ID) by clicking on the hyperlink link.
7. Click Preview, and then on Preview.
8. The following errors are displayed:
   - ME11 is not a valid value for this field. Enter a valid value.
   - Action failed.
9. You can see that the Preview is not generated.

This error occurred because ME11 which is a code as per Template Group does not exist in the system. It refers to ‘Confirmation Template’ which displays the preview for confirmations. To rectify this issue, we request you to please enable ‘print confirmation notification’ in Business Configuration settings under Implementation Projects in the First Implementation view. Once you have enabled the Scoping Question then please check rules for "Confirmation Template" under Form Template Selection subview in Input and Output Management View. It should be available now. Thereafter, you can navigate to the Form Template Maintenance and enter Template Group as ‘ME11’ to be able to select and publish the Confirmation Templates your business requires.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Navigate to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the First Implementation Project and click Edit Project Scope.
4. Click the Next button until you get to step 4 Question.
5. Expand the Scoping Element ‘Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Logistics’.
6. Expand Internal Logistics.
7. Select the Scoping Element ‘Communication for Internal Logistics’.
8. On the right side of the screen, please check the Question ‘You will be able to print confirmation notification.’ Under ‘Group: Print Confirmation Notification (1)’.
9. Now Go to the Application and User Management Work center.
10. Go to the Form Template Selection view.
11. You should be able to find In the Show Rules for field ‘Confirmation Notification’
12. Click the Go button and the Confirmation Template should now be available.
13. You can now navigate to the Form Template Maintenance View.
14. Select the ‘Advanced’ view.
15. Enter ‘ME11’ in the Template Group field.
16. Now you can see the list of all Confirmation Templates.
17. Select a Confirmation Template of your choice and publish it as per your business requirement.
18. After maintaining all these settings, if you preview the Production Confirmation, the system should not throw any error message.
