2700624 - Map Chart Not Available in Report Based on Cloud Data Source

Symptom

You are trying to select the geo map chart type in report view, but the MAP button is disabled (grayed out).

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

On the UI (User Interface):

  1. Go to the Analysis work center.
  2. Go to the view Report.
  3. Find and open a report based a on cloud data source.
  4. Include the Country and State characteristics in the drill-down; Show both ID and Description and have one Key Figure on drill-down.
  5. Try to change chart type.

You can see that the option Map is grayed out.

Cause

The Map option is not supported for a cloud data source.

Resolution

This is standard system behavior, the Map chart is not supported for a cloud data source.
