Symptom

  • Unable to clear Goal Home Page Notification from Bell icon after clicking on link

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Manager clicks on the Bell icon at the top
  2. Manager clicks on "Review your team's individual goals plans."
  3. It brings them to the Goal Plan of the employee
  4. Manager clicks on Home and click on the Bell icon at the top and the link is still there
  5. Manager wants the notification to clear

 

Resolution

  • Jam notifications currently cannot be removed manually from UI, user can only mark it as read
  • Notification service has a purge job, it will run weekly and purge the notifications published 180 days ago
