Symptom

When creating a script for a SAP Data Services Job or SAP Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services Task you validate/run the Job/Task and the following error displays:

  • PAR-010102: Initialization Syntax error at line <##>:

  • <ifthenelse($A = 'a', $B = 'b', $B = 'c');>:

  • near <=> found <=> expecting <')', +, ||, DIVIDE, MOD, *, a decimal>.
