It is possible to disable or make holiday calendar inactive, however, this is not advisable. Disabling this will cause problems for existing users who are using this Holiday Calendar as there may already be existing time off requests associated to the calendar. Moreover, a system validation is also place that restricts changes in holiday calendar if there are absences linked to the calendar, hence, changes are not possible in this case.

As a best practice, if corrections are to be made on holiday calendar, create a new Holiday calendar considering the holiday changes then change the label/name of the previous calendar to "Do not use or Obseleted" to indicate that the calendar should no longer be used.
