2704064 - Defaulting Will Not Work As Expected If User Is Assigned With Multiple Business Roles

Symptom

Default value for Code list restrictions not working as expected.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Click on Accounts View.
  3. Then click on New.
  4. For a field (eg: Role), default value is not correct.
  5. As per code list restriction, you are expecting different value.

Cause

Check if user has multiple business roles assigned and if there is a CLR assignment for both these business roles, then defaulting will not work as expected.

Example:
Business User Test has Business Role A1 and Business Role A2.

If default value is set in code list restrictions for these two roles seperately, then system wont be able to identify correct default value.

NOTE: Regarding CLR when adding products to Sales Orders and Sales Quotes: CLR defaulting works when you add a product from the 'add product' button - but not from mass addition such as 'add from list'.

Resolution

This is expected behaviour where defaulting will not work as expected if user is assigned with multiple business roles and these roles have code list assigned.
