2704126 - ONLINE REORG causes 631 and 644 errors

Symptom

When using the ONLINE option of the REORG, the following messages may happen over time during normal processing:

  • Error: 631, Severity: 21, State: 1
    The length of X passed to delete row routine for the row at offset Y is incorrect on the following page of database '<db name>': <page #>. The expected row length is Z. The offset should be no greater than K.
  • Error: 644, Severity: 21, State: 5
    Index row entry for data row id (<page>, <row>) is missing from index page <page2> of index id X of table '<table name>' in database '<db name>'. Xactid is (<page3>,<row3>). Drop and re-create the index.
