2704279 - Error: "Useful life for valuation view ABC in set of books XYZ is missing" While Creating a Supplier Invoice

During Supplier Invoice and Goods and Service Receipt creation, system generated a Business Transaction with the error Error: "Useful life for valuation view ABC in set of books XYZ is missing" (ABC represents the ID of the Valuation View, XYZ represents the ID of the Set of Books).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the Closing Cockpit View.
3. Go to the Source Documents Subview.
4. Select the Supplier Invoice/Goods and Service Receipt.
5. Click Actions > Post Business Transaction.

System displays the error.

No Useful Life has been entered for the respective Valuation View in the Fixed Asset Classes Business Configuration activity based on the Product Category maintained in the Individual Material linked to the Supplier Invoice/Goods and Service Receipt.

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects View.
3. Select the respective Implementation Project and click Open Activity List.
4. Search and open the activity Fixed Asset Classes.
5. Click Edit fixed asset classes.
6. Select respective Asset Class.
7. Maintain a Default Useful Life for the missing Valuation View.
