2705652 - Answer Description Field of Survey Reports Does Not Bring Values

You have surveys in the your Cloud for Customer system which has recorded answers with quantity, amount and text for some questions. When you open the survey report, the Answer Description field of Survey report doesn't bring values for some questions.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Reports view.
3. Open a standard survey report.
4. Add the Characteristic: Answer Description.

Answer description field doesn't fetch values of all the answers.

The Answer description field is for answers of question types Multiple Choice Single Select, Multiple Choice Multiple Select and Matrix. It won't show values for other question types like Quantity, Amount and Text.

You have to select the right key figure or characteristic for the question type you have maintained in the survey. The answers for the question type Text will be shown in Answer Text characteristic in report. The answers for the Numeric, Quantity and Amount question types will be shown in the key figures Numeric, Quantity and Amount respectively.

Please note that not all survey reports/data sources will have the field Answer Description available. The below data sources has this field:
