2706090 - Product Description Translation in Sales Quotes

The description of the products witihin a sales quote are not displayed in the logon language.

In this example, let's consider English and German as the language maintained under the Other Languages tab, at the Product master data.

You have logged in the system in English.

1. Go to the Sales work center.
2. Select the Sales Quotes view.
3. Search for the sales quote ABC (ABC represents the name of the Sales Quote).
4. Open the sales quote ABC.
5. Navigate to the Products facet.

You see the description of the products in German.

When a Sales Quote is created with a line item, product and product description and once saved, the description will not be translated in every logon language. The product description will show in the language in which the sales quote was saved.

In this example, the Sales Quote was created with a user logged in German and after save, the system stored the description in German.

This is the expected system behavior.

The product description is being displayed in the  same language as the sales quote was saved.
