2706396 - Message Your User is Already Logged On in the System. Click Yes if You Want to Unlock the Instances That Are Locked in the Other Sessions.

Symptom

When you logon with the same login, message appears: Your user is already logged on in the system. Click yes if you want to unlock the instances that are locked in the other sessions.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon in the same tenant with the same user, using two browsers or a mobile device.
  2. Message appears.
  3. When you press Yes, nothing happens

Cause

This is the system behavior.

Resolution

Whenever user accessing particular Application component(OWL,TI,QC,QV,OIF..), system will be creating session that called Application session.

When user click on Yes, just application session will be killed, meaning that this will unlock the locked items.
But login or security session remain active for standard logoff time.

Device and browser has the same behavior.
