2706429 - Cannot read property 'match' of undefined - Fiori Launchpad

Symptom

Below warning followed by an error appears in browser client console log when attempting to open a Smart Business tile

Warning: Cannot detect application type for TargetMapping id '*-' will default to URL application type - TargetMapping URL is '' sap.ushell_abap.adapters.abap.ClientSideTargetResolutionAdapterx-

Error: Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read property 'match' of undefined at C._appendParametersToUrl (ClientSideTargetResolution-dbg.js:3454) at ClientSideTargetResolution-dbg.js:3412

In some cases below error was also observed:
TypeError: Cannot read property 'dataServices' of undefined -
In Fiori Launchpad Designer, "sb.NavigationHelp" message appears when tile is clicked and it is not getting opened.
