2706455 - Additional approver added to Job Requisition cannot read or edit fields - Recruiting Management

There is an option in Job Requisition to add an extra approver or reviewer through Add Modifier button (button label can be different depending on configuration). This button is located in two(2) places:

1. In the Route Map section (under Actions)
   
   
2. At the bottom of Job Requisition form
   
   

Approver(s) added in this manner cannot see and/or edit the fields.

The Add Modifier is not native to RCM. It is a functionality of PM/GM, hence it can be enabled in Admin Center > Form Template Settings > [Select Form] > Allow Add Approver/Evaluator.

The additional approver is added to the job requisition as [U] role, and not any recruiting role/operator (e.g. Recruiter or [R] role).

This [U] role cannot have permissions defined in Job Requisition XML. Since access/visibility of fields is based on permissions given to operator, the additional approver will have no field access.

In Job Requisition XML, add read/write permission blocks for [V] role (baseline permissions).

The V designator defines the baseline permissions a recruiting user receives when viewing the job requisition if system cannot identify associated role/operator for the user. Since the additional approver (U) is not associated to any recruiting role, this user will receive V permissions.

Important Note: Whatever permissions assigned to the V role are also automatically assigned to ALL other roles. For example, if the V has permission to write to the internal title, then the O role (Originator), G role (Hiring Manager), and all other roles automatically have that permission, without any additional configuration.

Setting up V permissions can be really tricky and this requires assistance from Implementation Partner or Professional Services.
