Symptom
Admin would like to ensure that they are viewing all the LMS database tables and views which are available to access within Plateau Report Designer (PRD).
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Connect to Plateau Report Designer using your VJDBC connection details
- Open an existing report and expand a Data Set. Under the Available Items section expand the Data Source (if necessary) to reveal your Schema.
- Expand the Schema and note that some of the tables and views which were expected to be displayed are not available.
Cause
The Preferences options within PRD need to be updated so that all tables are displayed for your Schema
Resolution
-
Within PRD, navigate to Window > Preferences > Report Design > Data Set Editor > JDBC Data Set
-
Note the value for the 'Maximum number of tables in each schema to display:' configuration
-
Adjust this value to your preference. According to the latest version of the Data Dictionary there are approximately close to 1500 tables and views. Have set this example therefore to the same or even to a slightly higher number (e.g. 1700) to ensure any new tables will also be included in your view.
