2707497 - How Will a Future OData Version Like C4CODATAAPI Affect Your Custom API?

According to your information C4CODATA  will be retired in February 2020 and C4CODATAAPI shall be used for all upcoming customer implementations. Now you need to create Custom OData APIs. But you are not sure about the below points:

• How will the version be handled, if you create a new Custom OData API now, before the announced update?
• What happens to the existing Custom OData APIs in your system landscape, when Odata is further updated in the future?

SAP Cloud for Customer Sales / Service

• Existing Custom OData APIs are not impacted by the announced changes in C4C OData API. Any Custom OData API created in the past or today, will continue to work in the future - this means also after February 2020.
• Currently there are no plans to move to a further version of OData. However, even if that happens, SAP intends to continue the support of existing Custom OData APIs as before.
