2707513 - Activation of Transport Request Failed in the Target Tenant

Symptom

After the creation of a transport request for the business roles transport, the activation fails in the target tenant.

Sample Error: View SAP_CLOUD_PLATFORM_INTEGRATION in work center SEODADMINWCF no longer valid

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to frontend UI of the target tenant
  2. Navigate to Administrator work center
  3. Select Transport Management view
  4. Select the Transport Request ID
  5. Find the status as Failed
  6. Open the ID, and navigate to the transport logs
  7. Find the relevant error messages

Cause

The activation fails due to inconsistencies in the work center view assignments in the business role.

Resolution

  1. Login to the source tenant UI
  2. Navigate to Business Roles subview
  3. Open the business role mentioned in the error message from the target tenant
  4. Go to Work Center and View assignments
  5. See the warning messages
  6. Make the corrections accordingly
  7. Create a new transport request
  8. The activation should be successful
