2707588 - Panel Has Regular Expression for Numbers Only, but is Accepting Letters in Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

A panel has regular expression for Numbers Only, but still accepts letters in the field.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Settings > Panel
  2. Select the affected panel
  3. In the panel field type in any letters
  4. It will accept the value

Cause

A custom validator, which is required, has not been added.

Resolution

  1. Go to Settings > Panel
  2. Select the affected panel
  3. Click "Add" under validators
  4. Select validator "Regular Custom Validator"
  5. Select template "Custom"
  6. In the expression add ^(\(?\+?[0-9]*\)?)?[0-9_\- \(\)]*$
  7. Add a custom error message
