2707842 - Header Task's Duration Not Updated Automatically After Child Task's Duration is Changed

When you change a Task duration you expect the header task of that Project to be updated accordingly.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project management work center
2. Go to Projects view
3. Search for respective Project
4. Open the Project

 In the project plan in the Gantt chart, you see that  header task duration is Smaller than the highest duration task.

Since you maintained finish date as well as start date system cannot update the header task automatically because there is hard stop by mentioning finish date as to when the project has to finish.  So here finish date cannot change until you manually change it.

If you want system to change the Header Task duration either mention only start date ( forward scheduling)or only finish date( backward scheduling).
