Symptom

One time deduction portlet not editable via pencil button

Environment

SuccessFactors Employee Central - Deductions

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to employee's profile---->one time deduction section---->click pencil button---->fields are not editable

Cause

This is due to UI configuration

Resolution

1.Create a new configuration UI. Admin center---->Manage configuration UI------>Create new

2.Select base object as one time deduction user

3.One time deduction field will be displayed by default--->Check if its editable

4.Save UI

5.Add this UI within configure deduction screen Ids object . Manage data--->Configure deduction screen Ids----->Choose deductionscreenId ----->Add above UI in "onetimeDeductionUserGoEmployeeEditId" field

PS:Its not required to add all the fields(deduction date, amount etc) individually in above screen.Just add one time deduction field.You can also edit existing configuration UI as above.

Also the block used for one time deduction in Configure People Profile should be One Time Deduction block (which is available as standard blocks to be used). Else if the block is Live Profile MDF block, then screen ID selected here will be used and can cause unexpected behavior on the UI. It should be as below:
