2708325 - The Account Owner is Logged in User as Default Even Though There is no Workflow Rule in Place

Symptom

When you are creating a new Account, the Owner is set as the logged in user even though there is no Workflow Rule maintained.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Select the New button.
  4. The Owner field is the logged in user by default.

Cause

When you do not have Territory Management scoped in the system, the logged in user will be set as Account Owner by default. No workflow rule is needed in this case.

Resolution

This is the expected system behaviour.
