How do I add a new country to the Job Classification Country list?

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Manage Data.
  2. Select or create a Job classification.
  3. Attempt to add a non-standard country.

       4. Only standard pre-delivered countries appear in this dropdown.

Resolution

To add new countries to this list, you will need to do the following:

  1. Navigate to Configure Object Definitions and create a custom object (you can use Job Classification Australia or one of the pre-delivered objects as a point of reference).
  2. Navigate to the Object Definition for the Object Job Classification Country.
  3. Scroll to the Associations section.
  4. Add your new custom object as an association (you can use Job Classification Australia or one of the pre-delivered objects as a point of reference).

  5. Click Details and enter
  1. Condition fieldID: country.code

  2. Condition Values: <Country Code>, in our example: CHL

       6. The new country will now show up under the Job Classification Countries dropdown list

Note: Keep in mind that if the custom object was created as "secured" we need to give the users permission, under Manage Permission Roles.
