How to locate KPI and tile to add to sofware collection in order to export them to production?
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 1902
Resolution
In order to add the items to the collections we need two things under QA system:
- Locate the following information:
- Group ID
- Login to Fiori Launchpad
- Click on Manage KPIs and Reports
- Click on Groups
- Search for your Group
- Once found, if you do not see the ID under the name, please follow these steps:
- Click on Me Area on the top left side for Fiori Launchpad
- Click on App Settings
- Select Maintain IDs across all applictions
- Make copy of the ID which starts with a prefix ( example, YY, ZZ, etc...)
- Tile ID
- Click on KPIs Tab
- Search for your KPI
- Once found click on the KPI
- Click on Visualize
- Click on the tile
- Copy the ID
To transport them to production, do the following:
- Login to Fiori Launchpad in QA
- Click on the Transport Management group
- Click on the collection you need to add items to
- Click on Add Items
- Search for the items based on the IDs that was copied from the previous steps KPI ID and Tile ID
- Once the two items are found, add them to the collection
- Click on check to make sure everything is fine
- Once everything is successfully checked, click on Export
Note: If the check failed because of App Variant missing, click on Add Missing Items and that will add the App Variant - Login now to Fiori Launchpad in production system
- Go to the Import Software tile application
- Search for the items
- Import them
