2709872 - Identity column replication failed with Msg 584 when dt_apply on - SRS 16.0

Symptom

Identity column replication failed with Msg 584 when turning on dt_apply in a HADR environment:

I. A grouped transaction of 2 individual transactions has failed in database '<servername>.<database_name>'. It will be broken into smaller groups and retried.
E. ERROR #1028 WORKER( ) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5055)
Message from server: Message: 584, State 1, Severity 16 -- 'Explicit value specified for identity field in table 'dbo.<table_name>' when 'SET IDENTITY_INSERT' is OFF.'.
