Symptom

  • Installation of SDI Data Provisioning Agent fails with error "Cannot install Microsoft C/C++ Runtime".
  • The specific error text:  "Starting external program ...\HANA_DP_AGENT_20_WIN_X86_64\packages\msdev2015_vcredist_x64.exe Command line is: ...\HANA_DP_AGENT_20_WIN_X86_64\packages\msdev2015_vcredist_x64.exe /q Program terminated with exit code 1638"
  • The server already has Visual C++ 2017 installed.
