Symptom
User is trying to search internal candidates in Recruiting using Employee ID as search criteria. But no search results are returned even if an employee exists with the valid employee ID.

Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Recruiting >> Candidates >> Search for candidates
- Select search criteria- Basic info—Employee ID
- After entering the Employee ID you want to search, no results are displayed even though there is an employee with the ID you entered.
Cause
Candidate search actually populates the search fields from Candidate Profile Template. When 'employeeId' standard field is added in this template, it automatically starts appearing is candidate Power search UI even though this field is not searchable.
This problem has been already taken up by the Product Management team as an enhancement.
Resolution
Candidate Search using Employee ID as a search criteria is not supported currently in Recruiting. An enhancement request is already in place and the fix to this is yet to be implemented.
