2711274 - Error message appears when you are trying to assign a resource to a Resource Group

While assigning a Resource DEF (DEF refers to resource id) to a New Resource Group KLM (KLM refers to resource group id),Error appears.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center
2. In Common Tasks, Select New Resource Group
3. In General tab, Fill all relevant and mandatory entries
4. In Grouping tab, assign the relevant resource DEF
5. Select Save

Error appears as below

Cannot assign planning resource DEF to a planning resource group
Save Failed

Resource DEF is marked as Planning Relevant i.e "Resource Relevant for Capacity Planning" Flag is checked. If you want to assign a resource to a resource group, the resource must not be planning-relevant. This is causing the error.

In order to resolve the error, Follow the below mentioned steps below.

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to resources view
3. Search for DEF
4. Select Edit
5. Navigate to General tab
6. Descope the Option "Resource Relevant for Capacity Planning"
7. Select Save
