2712035 - Additional Row Is Added When You Add Attribute Within The Marketing Attribute Tab of An Account

Symptom

You add a value to an Attribute Set in Marketing Attribute tab, but an extra row gets added.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite: You have maintained Attribute Sets from the Administrator work center and Attribute XYZ (XYZ is the attribute name)with the corresponding value.

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Go to the Marketing Attributes tab.
  4. Choose the Attribute Set.
  5. Click on Edit.
  6. Add Attribute XYZ.
  7. Select a value.

Result: An extra row is added without any warning or error.

Cause

Attribute 'XYZ' is defined as a multivalued attribute. Hence in Edit mode, once you enter a value, you get another dropdown to maintain the next value.
Note: Only values which are entered are ultimately saved.

Resolution

This is standard functionality, the system behaves as designed.
