2712977 - It is not possible to remove .ics file (Calendar Invite) when the trigger "Outlook Response to Interview Organizer" is used

Symptom

  • While using interview scheduling with Outlook integration, we book an interview slot for a candidate and send notification to interviewer.
  • An .ics file is automatically attached in the email notification.
  • It is not possible to remove that .ics file from the Email notification

Reproducing the Issue

Pre-requisites

  • Interview Scheduling along with Outlook integration needs to be enabled.
  • Interview notification - "Outlook Response to Interview Organizer" needs to be enabled for sending email to interviewer.

Steps to replicate-

  • Candidate is added to interview status , and once coming in interview scheduling, click on "Start Scheduling".
  • Once the interviewer is select, click on "Find Availability".
  • Then in the send email window, click on "Book this slot for candidates" and send the email.

Cause

Expected Behaviour.

Resolution

If the above prerequisites are met. Then after an interview is scheduled for a candidate and confirmed by the candidate, this automatically triggers a notification to the interviewer from Outlook in which an .ics file containing the calendar invite for the interview is attached.

This is an expected behaviour of the product, and the .ics file cannot be removed or turned off.
