2713204 - Region Riga Rajons Set to Obsolete

You noticed that the region Riga Rajons from the country Latvia has been set to Obsolete in the Regions activity from the Business Configuration work center and you want to know why.

• SAP Cloud for Customer.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center in the Overview view.
2. Search for the Regions activity and open it.
3. Check that the region Riga Rajons (code RI) is flagged as Obsolete.

The regions in the system are aligned with the ISO codes. The obsolete region Riga Rajons was an old district which was eliminated in 2009 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riga_District), it mainly contains the cities of Riga and Jūrmala, after 2009 the administrative setup is now: Republican cities + Municipalities. This is aligned with the ISO codes used for Latvia:  https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:code:3166:LV

If you still want to use the old districts in your system, the obsolete flags can be removed accordingly.
