Symptom

  • Installation failed to create the DP Agent Windows service
  • Installtion can look as successfully completed as well apart from missing service.
  • The service is failing with Windows error 1053
  • Installation log in  %TEMP%\hdb_dataprovagent_<timestamp>\*.log shows:

    20:56:42.001 - ERR : Cannot access manifest file '\manifest': No such file or directory

    20:56:42.019 - ERR : Configuration file '\install\InstallParams.xml' not found
