Symptom
You are comparing two different standard Aging List reports (Aging List for Receivables and Aging List For Receivables With Journal Entry Details) with same cut-off date, however the reports returns different figures.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign.
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to Business Analytics work center.
- Go to Design Reports view.
- Find and open Aging List for Receivables and Aging List For Receivables With Journal Entry Details.
- Execute both reports with same selection parameters.
You noticed that the amounts for some key figures are different when comparing both reports. For example, the Not Due Amount is higher in the Aging List for Receivables
Cause
Given the nature of both reports, some valid differences may arise.
The Aging List for Receivables do considers Down Payment Request documents. However, since such documents still don't have a clearing/payment (and hence a journal entry), they are not considered by the Aging List For Receivables With Journal Entry Details report.
It may also occur a difference with the payment of the down payment request is made later on and the cut-off date of the reports is in between the down payment request creation and the clearing date. For example, a down payment request created on 15.10 2018 and cleared on 07.11.2018. With a cut-off date as 01.11.2018 the down payment request is shown in the Aging List for Receivables until 07.11.2018 as Net Due amount. The corresponding JE was created on clearing on 07.11.2018 hence the same will display In Aging list for receivables with JE from same date onwards only.
Resolution
This is the designed behavior for both reports.
