2717148 - Future-Dated Fields Cannot be Selected When Creating a Dynamic Role

While creating a Dynamic Role in 'Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures', under 'Dynamic Role Assignment' you cannot select a field that is future-dated (E.g a future dated Division, Department etc.)

For the purpose of this KBA we will use the example of a future-dated Division, but the same logic applies for all fields in Dynamic Role Assignment;

1. Navigate to Admin Centre > Manage Data > Create New > Division
2. Select a 'Start Date' with a date in the future > Name the Division and fill out required fields > Save
   
3. Navigate to 'Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures' > Create New > Dynamic Role
4. Under 'Dynamic Role Assignment' try to select the Future-Dated Division > It is not available

When creating Dynamic Roles, the system will only take into account 'Active' fields, it is default system behaviour that Future-Dated fields are not available to be selected as this can cause downstream issues with Workflow Approvals.

To resolve the issue, you will need to change the effective date of the field to a present or past date.

1. Navigate to Admin Centre > Manage Data > Division > Search for the Future Dated Division
2. Take Action > Make Correction > Change 'Start Date' to the previous or a past date > Save
