2717242 - Recovery date same as the Requested date in Employee Central Advances

Symptom

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Configuration for Eligibility for Advances are as below:

1. Recovery Format: As per date

2. Monthly Recovery Date: 09

Now an Employee has requested for an advance on the 9th of the Month (In this Example Nov 9).

On the Advance Details you will notice that the first recovery is on the same date as the requested date. (In this case Nov 9 is the date of the first Recovery)

Resolution

Currently this is an expected behavior. This happens when the requested date of the employee conicides with the monthly recovery date (In this case this setting is set to 9 and the employee requested on the 9th of November). If the employee requested for any other date than 9th (Example 10th of November) the first recovery date will happen the next month (9th of December in the above example).

As a work around a customer needs to configure the Advance Recovery Date in such a manner that it will not coincide or fall close to the payroll processing date.

If you want this behavior to be changed please file an Enhancement request through our Influence Page.  For more information please refer to this LINK
