2717514 - Dump CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR when deleting dimension member - BPC NW

Symptom

  • When trying to delete a dimension member in BPC web client, the deletion process terminates with an ABAP dump (without deleting the dimension value).
  • ABAP dump generated in ST22 transaction:
    Runtime Errors: CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR
    Short Text: "You are not authorized for master data or object does not exist"
    Information on where terminated:
    The termination occurred in ABAP program or include "SAPLUJN_API_BI_IOBJ", in "UJN_API_MD_DELETE_". The main program was "UJAA_PROCESS_DIMENSIONS".
  • The issue is no longer reproduced if the profile SAP_ALL is assigned to the BPC_SERVICE user in SU01 transaction.
