2718658 - Error "Segment 0001 has no field to be transferred" occurs when activating a text datasource

In a BW system, when you activate a text datasource whose extraction structure is ROTEXTSTR*(stored in ROOSOURCE-EXSTRUCT), such as 0CUST_GROUP_TEXT, the following error occurs:

Segment 0001 has no field to be transferred
Message no. RSDS032

Diagnosis

The segment 0001 either has no errors or none of the fields is intended for transfer (indicator in PSA set in field maintenance).

System Response

The DataSource cannot be generated.

Procedure

Assign at least one transferable field to the segment.
