2718972 - Cross-portlet associations are not working - Employee Central

You have one field in one portlet of EC for instance Pay Group in compensation information and this pay group field should be filtered by a Job Information field for instance Business Unit.

You have used the associations to do that and you have noticed that in some cases it might work but the behavior is not consistent for all the UIs or all the scenarios.

1. Create the association in the object.

2. Create the field criteria.

3. When going to manage pending hires for example, see that the association does not work and considers only the previous value for this employee (if exists).

Although we may have some situations where this config may work, this is not supported by SAP which means that this inconsistent behavior is expected since we have not considered this usage for the associations.

Associations should occur only within fields inside the same portlet.
