2719097 - An id column value may have only one attribute value from each unique attribute column in SAP Analytics Cloud

The following error occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• An id column value may have only one attribute value from each unique attribute column when creating a model: BW import model based on the Bex query.

• SAP Analytics Cloud

• Due to an inconsistency in the way an empty cell and a default dimension member are handled.
• Two columns contain an ID/description value pair of "#"/"Not assigned", but also have empty cells. By default, SAC treats an empty cell as a default member (which is reflected in the model option "fill applicable empty ID cells with the "#" value" checkbox in the side panel); in that process, empty cells in the ID and description columns are replaced automatically by "#"/"Unassigned".

• Before inserting data into a model, a single dimension member can only have one description. So the member "#" cannot have description of "Not assigned" and "Unassigned" at the same time.
• To workaround this issue, use the Replace transform in the data wrangling screen to make the values in these two columns consistent. Either one of the following technique (do just one but not both) can be used:
• Replace all cells with "Not assigned" in column A with "Unassigned".
  OR
• Replace all empty cells in column B with "#", then replace all values in column A with "Not assigned" where column B is "#".
