Symptom
When performing any action (like clicking on a button) on a WebGUI application on the Cloud Portal (Fiori Launchpad or Freestyle site), the following error is displayed:
Checking the HTTP traces of when opening the application, a 500 Error to a resource called init_websocket.js can be seen.
There is a simple test that allows to confirm if this is indeed the issue being faced:
- Copy the requested URL for the init_websocket.js file that resulted in a 500 Error from the HTTP traces. The URL should look like this: https://system1<destination_name*><hash_value>-<subaccount_number>.dispatcher.<region>.hana.ondemand.com
Anything that comes after the .com is not necessary for the test.
*<destination_name> may only contain a part of the destination name in case it uses special characters or the value is too long. - Open the following URL on a browser tab: <url_from_step_1>/sap/public/icmandir/its/ls/js/classes/ItemListBox_ie6.js
This URL should result in a 500 Error. - Open the following URL: <url_from_step_1>/sap/public/icmandir/its/ls/theming/UR/baseLib/baseTheme/img/popupwindow/warning.gif
This URL should load a warning gif.
If the each of the URLs return the mentioned results, refer to the resolution section of the KBA for the steps to fix the issue.
