2720509 - Application Error in Time Off ESS due to deletion of Work Schedule in Old Job Information Record

Symptom

Generic application error message in Time Off ESS is encountered when trying to request for an absence

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

Login as an employee then access Time Off through any of the following options: Homepage Time Off tile, Go to Time Off link in People Profile or Time Off tab (v12). An application error message is encountered.

Cause

Issue occurs when work schedule has been deleted from the previous job information record, which was only possible due to missing system check/validation.

Resolution

System Validation will be added and implemented in 1902 release to restrict deletion of work schedule for job information records older than the current job information record.

Workaround:

1. Edit the job information record where work schedule value has been removed.
