2720672 - Error 'Change of Processing Period of Permanent Account ABC Not Permitted'

When trying to close time account ABC and transfer its balance to time account XYZ, you are face below error:

'Change of processing period of permanent account ABC not permitted'

1. Go to Time Administration work center;
2. Open Employees view;
3. Search for the employee you want to change the time account;
4. Open the employee;
5. Go to Time Account Balances tab;
6. Select the time account ABC;
7. Click on Close Account;
8. Fill the fields accordingly, selecting time account XYZ in Offsetting Time Account;
9. Click OK;
10. The error will occur.

The setting of Time Account ABC specifies it is a permanent time account. Since permanent time account has only one instance through its lifecycle, the closing of this time account is not supported in the system.
 
The option of closing time account deals with particular processing period (Instance) and with permanent time account is not feasible because of only one period.

If you require to close the time account, it can be directly removed from the Time Profile - Time Accounts tab. In case it is also required to update the balance in another time account, it can be done via manual adjustment in Time Account Balances - Adjustments tab of the other time account.
If this is not the intended behavior, then you can set up the time account as Recurring time account and specify its right configuration.
