2723419 - Error: “Address incomplete; enter country” When Removing Country from an Account

Symptom

You receive the below error when you try and remove the country from an existing Account:

“Address incomplete; enter country”

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Account Management workcenter
  2. Select Accounts view

  3. Select and open the required Account

Remove the value from the field Country and you receive the above-mentioned error.

Cause

Country is mandate field for Accounts without which you cannot save an Account.

Resolution

Enter a valid country and save, the error will not arise.

Note: The error message shows up twice due the background check which fails two different constraints, due to technical reasons it can't be merged to show it once.
