Symptom

  • You are working with Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO)
  • When importing SAP Basis content into the Enterprise Services Repository (ESR) the error below (or similar) is thrown
    Import failed: Internal error when importing object Documentation _ID_c2f9ebcf0fc23f5ca079f3314a184414_ifmmessif | http://sap.com/xi/XI/Demo/Agency (SAP BASIS 7.00)
    See error logs for details
  • This usually happens on PI/PO systems running on a Microsoft SQL Database
  • The error can happen for any version of the SAP BASIS Content e.g. 7.01, 7.02
