2725108 - DB6: unable to load DB2 library libdb2.so. Reason: libibmc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Symptom

During the managed system configuration from solution manager, remote connection to IBM DB2 for LUW database failed with the following error.

On this server, no client software is available for DB2 for LUW, see SAP note 1267189.

System log(SM21) shows:
BYI Connect to the database with ID <SID> failed
BZY Unexpected return value 8192 when calling up DBDS

Corresponding WP shows:
C *** ERROR => unable to load DB2 library '/usr/sap/<sid>/DVEBMGS00/exe/db6_clidriver/lib/libdb2.so'. Reason: libibmc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
