2727796 - Sybdiag returns error with SSL enabled - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When running Sybdiag command line tool those messages are returned:

The system cannot find the drive specified.
14004 - Connection Open Error: Error occurred while opening a connection to Adaptive Server. Please make sure that the input server name, login and password are correct, and that the server is running. The message returned was "JZ00L: Login failed. Examine the SQLWarnings chained to this exception for the reason(s).".

Warning: Because the authentication of connection to Adaptive Server failed, data collection type(s) "asecore" which require(s) connection will be ignored.

Data collection statistics: 0 task(s) succeeded, 0 task(s) skipped, and 0 task(s) failed.

No valid output view could be generated.
The collected data is stored as <driver>:\SAP\sybdiag-<server>-<datetime>.zip
Data collection completed.

  • ASE may report this error message:

kernel  ssl_server_handshake: vsn 8 kpid 2686997 enp_sslAccept() failed
