2728036 - Missing Currency Causing Compensation Information Import Failure

Symptom

You would receive an application error when uploading compensation Information.

The application error  would be accompanied by: Currency Code entered for this record does not exist in the application

Environment

Employee Central - Employee Data Import

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Admin Center > Import Employee Data, for example, select Compensation
  2. Choose the ‘Full Purge’  or Incremental load option checkbox
  3. Validate Import File data
  4. Result:  Total Records:1 Number of failed records:1 Number of records with warnings:01 [00101292, 01/07/2018,, Salaried,, UGA_1, DTAC,] : [The Currency Code entered for this record does not exist in the application.] 

Cause

This is misconfiguration issue.

Currency are not be selected for the given Country

Case Example: Uganda

  1. Go to manage Data
  2. Country: Uganda 
  3. View Currency: No Currency

Resolution

Example: Uganda

Step 1:

  1. Go to manage Data
  2. Currency: Uganda 
  3. select Currency: Ugandan Shilling (UGX)

  1. Go to manage Data
  2. Country: Uganda
  3. Add Currency: Ugandan Shilling (UGX)
