2728316 - How the Opportunity Redetermination Scoping Question Works

You want to understand how the following scoping question will work in your system.

Business Configuration question: Do you want to automatically re-determine opportunity parties based on changes to the account team of the associated account?

You can activate this question by following the steps below:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Click on the Edit Project Scope.
3. Go to the step Questions.
4. Dropdown New Business.
5. Select Opportunities.
6. Search for the question:  "Do you want to automatically re-determine opportunity parties based on changes to the account team of the associated account?

The use case of this question is the following:

Lets suppose you have an account with Territory 1. Now 3 opportunities as well as 2 Leads were created linked to this account. Instead of going through the realignment run, you can go to the account screen directly and changes the territory of the account from T1 to T2. The system will run a job and picks all the 5 documents created (3 opportunities and 2 leads) and update according to the determination  without using the realignment run.

The use case of not having this question enabled.

If you do not select this functionality, the system will determine based on the 3 types of determination; Automation, Configuration on fine tune activity and Copy from document to another. While creating a document, it will assign based on your configuration and any change on the documents will not take affect to the following up ones.
