Symptom
Specific Dashboard 2.0 tiles do not display any graphical information and just display "There is no data to be visualized".
But expanding the tile displays the corresponding drill-down data.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental
Environment
SuccessFactors Dashboard 2.0
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Home Page or Access the corresponding Dashboard, depending on where the tile is located.
- Once loaded, the tile displays the message "There is no data to be visualized".
- Expanding the tile by clicking the same message, displays the corresponding drill-down data.
Cause
The field used for the Tile's category (X Axis) has not data for any of the records that fall within the logged in user's Target Population.
As a result, the system cannot perform any aggregation to display graphical data.
However, since the drill-down data falls within the user's target population, it is displayed.
In the example shown above, we had chosen 'Middle Name' as the category and none of the users in the system had a middle name.
Resolution
The behaviour is expected.
Drill down data will be displayed based on the user's target population + sections (if any) that have been selected from the display.
Graphical information however, will be displayed IF and only IF atleast one row in the user's target population has data for the 'Category' field.
