2729038 - F4 help Q-mode "Only Posted Values for Navigation" does not work in BICS

Symptom

After upgraded to SAP BW 7.50, you have defined F4 read mode Q (Only Posted Values for Navigation) for filter.
However when you execute the query in runtime, read mode M (Values in Master Data Table) is used when you filter the characteristic/dimension.

This symptom has been observed in client tools using BICS layer:

  • Analysis for Office
  • BW JAVA
  • Design Studio
  • Lumira
  • ...

In RSRT, read mode Q is used as expected.

Note: This KBA is only related to the filter behaviour after query execution. F4 mode used in variable/prompt screen is not being discussed in this topic.
