Symptom
You are trying to restrict one of the following Campaign data sources to accounts but it is not possible. For example data source Campaign (ID CODCAMP), Campaign and Campaign Responses (ID CODCAMPJ) and Campaign Response Count (ID CODCAMP_INBOUND).
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to the Business Analytics Work Center, View Design Data Sources.
- Show all and search for data source Campaign and Campaign Responses (ID CODCAMPJ).
- Open the data source.
- You will notice that the access context shows No Restrictions.
Cause
It is not possible to introduce the access context 1015 for the data source Campaign (ID CODCAMP) & Campaign Response Count (ID CODCAMP_INBOUND). Campaigns do not have a direct reference to customers. The reference is via account/individual customers or via account contact relationship. As these are independent entities, we cannot link them to campaigns.
The access context is also not available for the report Campaign Scorecard (ID CODCAMPJ_Q0003).
Resolution
As a workaround you have the option to create a new joined data source between Campaign Response Count (ID CODCAMP_INBOUND) & Account Master Data (ID CODCUSTOMER) to have an access restriction based on the access context.
