How to hide peer's absence in the team absence calendar?

Reproducing the Issue

  • Currently in team absence calendar the peer/direct report tab cannot be hidden. This is an enhancement (Ticket no: TIM-6098) which the engineering team is working on but has no fix date yet. 
  • There are requirements where absences of peers should not be shown. There is a workaround to hide the absences of peers.

Resolution

  • Set the object definition 'Employee Time' as Secured.
  • In RBP Permission role, set the 'Employee Time' with view permission and in the target population, set as 'Granted User's Direct Reports'

  • Using Admin Center -> View User Permision, make sure that the employee does not have any other permission role which includes the peers as target population along with the Employee Time view permission. Below screenshot shows only Manager role and another role for self:

  • Example user Isabelle’s peer is Mathieu

  • ‘Mathieu’ has requested for leave on 6th Dec 2018.
